EU PPWR readiness

The EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) replaces the older Packaging Waste Directive with a single, directly applicable regulation built around a set of design and reporting pillars. The Reporting & PPWR module gives you a readiness view: for each pillar, whether Oblifee already helps you and where that work lives.

The Reporting & PPWR page. The per-market EPR figures sit above the PPWR readiness tiles - one tile per pillar, each linking to the module that covers it.

The pillars tracked

The readiness grid shows one tile per PPWR pillar. Each tile states what the pillar is about and either links to the Oblifee module that already covers it or marks it as upcoming.

PillarWhat the PPWR expectsWhere Oblifee covers it
RecyclabilityPackaging designed to be recyclable at scale, by grade.Recyclability (RAM) - live
Recycled contentMinimum recycled content targets by plastic type.Upcoming
LabellingHarmonised recyclability and sorting marks on pack.On-pack labelling - live
ReuseReuse and refill targets for certain formats.Upcoming
Substances of concernRestrictions on substances such as certain PFAS.Upcoming

How readiness is shown

Each tile carries one of two states:

  1. Live - the pillar is already handled by an Oblifee module. The tile links straight through to that module (for example, Recyclability opens the RAM module).
  2. Upcoming - the pillar is on the roadmap and marked with an upcoming badge, so you can see it is tracked without expecting a tool for it yet.

As new modules ship, their pillars flip from upcoming to live and gain their link - you do not need to reconfigure anything.

:::note A readiness view, not a compliance verdict The PPWR tiles tell you where Oblifee helps with each pillar. They are a map of coverage, not a statement that your packaging passes a given pillar. For an actual recyclability rating, open the RAM module; for on-pack marks, open labelling. :::

The regulation is still settling

The PPWR's detailed implementing rules are being finalised over time. Oblifee tracks those changes through the regulatory brain and surfaces material updates in the News feed, so the readiness view keeps pace as the pillars firm up.
